About Us

The SCHS mission is to search, save and share the history and cultural heritage of Scott County through public programs, exhibitions, our research library, archive, and artifacts.
SCHS IS OPEN MONDAY - FRIDAY, 9AM - 4PM.
DON’T WANT TO VISIT IN-PERSON? WE GET IT!
There are lots of ways to use SCHS as a resource during this time.

LET US DO THE RESEARCH FOR YOU
We are busy fulfilling research requests! Click on Library to learn what materials we have on site and submit a research request!

SEARCH OUR COLLECTION ONLINE
Our entire collection of objects and photographs are now available for you to search online! Click on Collections to find a portal to our Collections Search database. If you have any questions about what you find, let us know!

VIRTUALLY TOUR OUR EXHIBITS
We have created virtual exhibit tours for HomeBrewed: Prohibition in Scott County and Votes For Women: Suffrage in Scott County! Click on Exhibits to access these tours. You can also find recordings of our Scott County Stories History Talks under “Programs.”

REACH OUT TO US
One of the great things about being an institution of history is that we know that Minnesotans have worked together and gotten through hard times before—and we’ll do it again! We'd love to hear from you. If you have any questions, or just want to say hello, don't hesitate to reach out to us here.
