The Prior Lake Rotary Club is pleased to invite you to our October 9th meeting at The Wilds. Our featured speaker that morning will be Lea B. Olsen. As a parent, sports broadcaster and former Minnesota Gopher basketball player, she has experienced sports culture from every angle. After graduating from the U of M with a journalism major, she has worked for NBCSN, ESPN's national WNBA coverage, is a game analyst for the Lynx and a sideline TV reporter for the Timberwolves.
As founder of Rethink the Win, Lea champions young athletes as complete people and focuses on the positive impact of sports beyond the game. She has many tips for parents as they help their kids navigate the youth sports culture.
As a former athletics and activities director at Prior Lake High School and Watertown-Mayer High School, and as a parent, I know first hand the challenges young athletes and their parents face in today's youth sports programs. I know how difficult it is for parents to make appropriate choices for kids and to figure out how to best support them. Youth sports have become so competitive, expensive and time consuming for families. Sports specialization starts at a young age and the stresses for kids continue to grow.
We in Rotary believe that Lea's message is so important for parents, coaches, players and managers of young athletes that we will host a buffet breakfast at 7:00am at The Wilds for all attendees. We hope you will attend and also invite board members and key coaches from your organization to do the same. All we need form you and others is an RSVP by September 28th.

We sincerely hope you will accept our invitation and share it with others. Please remember that in order for us to plan appropriately for seating and food, we need an RSVP to email@example.com no later than September 28th.
