DR SHIRLEY HIMANGA, DC, FICPA, CCSP, cAcu, CACCP - Chiropractor / Owner

Dr. Shirley Himanga is a native of the Midwest, born and raised in the Dakotas and became interested in Chiropractic after a track injury in middle school. Always interested in having a career working with children, her original interest peaked when she learned that Chiropractic wasn’t just for back pain and that it could also address childhood concerns by focusing on the cause and not just the symptoms.

EDUCATION/CAREER: Dr. Shirley graduated with a BS in Biology and minors in Chemistry, Economics and Spanish from Northern State University (NSU) in Aberdeen, SD, and moved to the Twin Cities shortly after her undergrad career. She pursued her continued Chiropractic interest and obtained her Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2003 from Northwestern College of Chiropractic (now NWHSU) in Bloomington, Minnesota. Her career as a DC began in Apple Valley, which eventually led her to join the founding DC team at the SMSC Wellness Center in Shakopee where she resided for almost a decade.

Since then, Dr. Shirley has taught at a local college, mentored future chiropractic students, supported many local and national charities, ran 3 marathons, was crowned Miss Minnesota for America in 2020, received numerous continuing education credentials, grown, and built successful practices.
