The Prior Lake Spring Lake Watershed District and the City of Prior Lake are coordinating a volunteer effort to stencil the area around city storm drains.
The stencil reminds people to keep the drain area clear of leaves, garbage, etc. This will ensure that our lakes and ponds take in only healthy water run-off.
Groups of 4-6 people work best for this project, so get your group together and have fun helping our City maintain one of our best natural resources, our lakes!
We will meet at Prior Lake City Hall at 9:45am on Saturday, June 11. We'll do a quick how-to demonstration, then hand out the stenciling kits which will include safety vests and traffic cones, stenciling materials, maps showing which drains we'd like you to stencil, and snacks for your group. You and your group can then be on your way.
When you've completed your set of drains (and it's not a race!), we'll meet back at City Hall where you can return the stenciling materials.
We couldn't complete this project without our awesome volunteers, so thank you for everything you do for the Watershed District!
