The Prior Lake Players and Expressions Community Theater of Lakeville have teamed up to present Thornton Wilder’s Production of “Our Town” this fall.
Performances will be held in two locations over two weekends. Opening weekend is October 8, 9, 10, at the Lakeville Area Arts Center in downtown Lakeville. The second weekend is October 15, 16, and 17, at Twin Oaks Middle School in Prior Lake. Friday and Saturday evening performances start at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday performances begin at 2 p.m.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with Lakeville Community Theater to offer this production in two great communities,” said Prior Lake Players Board President Harry Algyer. “The PL Players has been innovating since its inception 49 years ago, and we're still innovating today. This partnership is a wonderful way to bring community theater to theater lovers in both Scott and Dakota Counties. A huge thank you to our entire cast, crew, and partners for making this a reality.”
A landmark in American drama, Thornton Wilder’s Pulitzer Prize-winning “Our Town” tells the story of a small town, Grover’s Corners, New Hampshire, in order to tell us the story of every town, the whole world over. Narrated by the “Stage Manager”, we follow the Gibbs and Webb families, residents of Grover’s Corners, through twelve years of life changes.
Tickets are on sale now on the Prior Lake Players website at https://plplayers.org/tickets/. Tickets are $15 each.
